1) The story was written in third person point of view because none of the characters was sharing their point of view in the story. We also knew what was happening to everybody.
2) Some heartless people will attack people with whom they wish to dis socialize with or whom they find unworthy of their appearance. Some discriminate because of a deep grudge against people with this kind of skin colour, a different opinion, or a different life style etc. Some followers discriminate just to remain respected by certain people with strong influence. When kids grow up in crowded areas such as school, everybody naturally wishes to be part of a group of people or friends so they are not left out or shunned aside. I feel like that and I bet a lot of other people do to even if they are humiliated to admit it. Everyone wants to be recognized.
